Before you attack
- Scout three opponents. The Arena shows the defense team and power. Pick the one whose tank your attack team counters.
- Pick the team, not the power. A counter beats a stronger team. Keep one physical and one magic attack team ready.
- Check the first ultimate. If their support fills energy fast, bring control to delay it.
During the fight
Ultimates are manual in Arena. Hold your damage ultimate until the enemy tank's shield drops or their healer is low. Use control ultimates the moment an enemy damage dealer is about to fire. Firing everything at once feels good and loses fights.

Your defense
- Sustain over burst: a sturdy tank, a healer, control and two reliable damage dealers.
- Put your highest-power heroes in defense; attackers judge by power before fighting.
- Update your defense when you upgrade a hero. Old defenses get farmed.
When to fight
Rewards are paid by your rank at the daily reset. Fight close to the reset so your rank holds. Use all free attempts every day; a steady climb beats bursts.
Grand Arena
Three teams, best of three. Put your strongest team against their weakest if you can read the lineup, and make sure each of your teams has its own tank and healer. Winning two fights cleanly beats winning one and losing two.
Keep learning
When you lose, look at the replay and ask which ultimate fired first. Most losses trace back to that. Read the Arena meta page for the archetypes and their counters.
FAQ
How do I win more Arena fights in Hero Wars?
Scout the defense, bring the team that counters its tank, time your ultimates manually and fight every day near the reset.
Should I use my best heroes in Arena defense?
Yes. Attackers pick targets by power, and a strong defense costs them attempts.
