Hero Wars: Alliance and Dominion Era
Hero Wars is a fantasy RPG from Nexters in which you collect heroes, Titans and Pets, build teams and fight through a campaign, guild battles and a steady stream of events. It comes in two versions with separate accounts: Hero Wars: Alliance on phones and Hero Wars: Dominion Era in the browser.

Which version are you playing?
If you tap an app icon on your phone, you play Alliance. If you open a browser tab at hero-wars.com or play on Facebook, you play Dominion Era. The heroes overlap, but progress, events and codes are separate.
The names get confusing because Alliance also calls its game world Dominion. The October news that "Dominion turns 10" comes from the Alliance news hub, while the Dominion Era feed marked the game's tenth birthday back on March 23, 2026. When you read a post, check which channel it comes from before you act on it.
What is happening in October 2026
Alliance started Wodryn's Season on October 21. Wodryn is a new Nature tank who protects allies and removes negative effects from his team. The season also brings new Relics for Wodryn, Mushy and Shroom, the Crimson Grove skins and an anniversary celebration with gifts. Earlier in the month Luther got a Relic, and Nexters shared its Realm plans for the rest of the year.
Dominion Era spent October on Orm, a new Support Titan of Distortion, with a pre-order on October 14 and his Adventure from October 19. Robin, the first new Pet in three years, arrived around the Mead Festival, and Prestige came back with a new season of quests. Martha got two new skills in the second Ascension Season.

Events you will see every month
Both versions run a rotating calendar, so the same event names come back again and again. These are the ones the Dominion Era feed announced most often in 2026:

Many of these events come with a free gift link in the announcement post. That is the main reason to check the feed when a new event starts.
Free rewards in each version
Alliance has three regular sources. Promo codes go into the Hero Wars Hub. Mission gifts ask you to replay a named campaign mission and then check your mail. The Hub's Daily Rewards track gives a free item every day, in 7-day chains. Nexters' support article also points to free chests inside the in-game Emerald Shop, which refresh every day at 02:00 UTC.
Dominion Era relies on gift links. Many event posts in the community feed include one, typically worth 500 Energy, with an expiry date in the post. Typed codes show up a few times a year, for example ANNIVERSARY in March 2026.
