The roster

Use the buttons to filter by role. Hero Wars keeps adding heroes, including crossovers like Lara Croft and the Ninja Turtles, so the list grows with almost every season. Wodryn, the new Nature tank from Wodryn's Season, joins the tank line in October 2026.

What each role does

Tanks

Tanks stand in the front slot and soak up damage. Most have shields, damage reduction or taunts that pull enemy attacks onto them. Every team needs at least one, and in the late game many teams run two. Aurora, Galahad and Astaroth are names you will see early.

Warriors

Warriors deal physical damage at close range. They are often the main damage of a physical team and some, like Lyria and Yasmine, can burst down a key enemy fast.

Marksmen

Marksmen attack from the back row. Keira and Dante are classic picks, and crossovers like Lara Croft also fight from range.

Mages, control, support and healers

Mages deal magic damage that ignores armor, control heroes stop enemies from acting, supports add buffs and healers keep the team standing. A strong team usually has a tank, two or three damage dealers and one support or healer.

Building your first team

  • Pick one damage type and stick with it. Upgrading both physical and magic heroes early spreads your resources too thin.
  • Put your gear into five heroes, not fifteen. A focused team clears the campaign and the Tower much faster.
  • Keep one healer or support. Fights in the Tower and Outland last long enough that sustain matters.
  • Follow the free heroes. Heroes you can farm in the campaign or buy in shops are easier to level than event heroes.
