How the island works
The island is a grid maze. You spend Explorer Moves to step onto tiles, and tiles hide rewards: resources, chests, season items and the War Flag chest that most players aim for. Moves come from daily quests and event tasks, and they are limited, so every step should take you somewhere.
What to look for
| Element | What it does |
|---|---|
| Towers | Major reward points at the ends of paths. The best chests sit in towers. |
| War Flag chest | The monthly prize that most routes are built around. |
| Logs and bridges | Collect logs to unlock bridges that shortcut the maze. |
| Hidden rewards | Tiles that reveal extra loot when you step next to them. |
| Season chests and catalysts | Resources for the current season's systems, such as elemental fusion. |

Planning a route
- Count your moves. Add up the moves you can earn this month from quests before you take a step.
- Find the War Flag tower. Trace the shortest path from your start.
- Look for bridges. If a bridge cuts the path, collect the logs it needs on the way.
- Pick up free side rewards only when they cost one extra move.
- Do not reveal tiles for fun. Curiosity is the main way players run out of moves.
Free-to-play vs spending
Free players can usually reach the War Flag chest and one or two towers with the moves from quests. Paid move bundles let you clear the whole island. Decide at the start of the month which you are doing and plan the route for that budget.
Each month
The layout changes monthly. We update this page with route notes when a new island opens; follow the events page for the current one.
